Task #2 The day I got really misunderstood
This happened some months ago at the weekly street market in my village.
I usually WhatsApp to order some
fruit and vegetables from the greengrocer in advance.
I send him a list the day before
the market day, and I receive a message back when the order is completed to
pass by and pick it up.
During the volcanic eruption days in La Palma, the greengrocer was selling Plátanos de Canarias from these
plantations at a lower price due to some damages. The fruit was good but quite
ripe. This was perfect for my wife to cook some vegan baking for my brother-in-law.
I ordered two kilos of this
kind of Plátanos de Canarias pointing in the list “two kilos of the most
economical Plátanos de Canarias”.
When I arrived home, my wife
opened the bags and saw “normal” Plátanos de Canarias with a handwritten note
saying that these were the most economical that day… but they weren’t ripe enough
for cooking, so I have been eating Plátanos de Canarias for weeks.
Next time, I’ll be more specific with my notes on the list!
