Task #3 How to get to Fisherman’s Wharf as fast as possible, departing from Plaza Cibeles on April 28th at 4:00 pm.

Dear friend, let me give you ten tips for a fast and safe trip to Fisherman’s Wharf.

I suppose that you have already completed these previous technical aspects and procedures:

1.       You have checked that your passport expiration date enables you to travel abroad.

2.       You have fulfilled the ESTA form and paid taxes for it.

3.       Do not forget to keep your COVID-19 Vaccines passport up to date and make sure you have completed your vaccination schedule with the primary series of accepted COVID-19 vaccines to travel to the United States by plane.

4.    You must show a Negative COVID-19 test result before boarding a flight.

5.       You must wear a mask over your nose and mouth during the trip.

6.      Just carry only hand luggage to skip any queue for this matter once landed. If you had to check in your luggage before boarding, do not hesitate to drop it off at a locker once you get to the airport. In that case, buy a handbag only for essential items that you can pick up from your luggage.

And now I will show you the fastest connections to have ASAP a “Killer Crab” at the Crab House:

7.       How to get to the Madrid airport (MAD) from Cibeles:

Take a cab to the airport. It will take from 10 to 18 minutes to get there. It is not rush hour and it is 17 minutes faster than going by metro.

You will be arriving at the Madrid airport around 4:18 pm.

8.       Take a flight to San Francisco International Airport (SFO)

As you are only carrying hand luggage you might arrive at the airport 2 hours before the departure of your flight to pass all the controls, I think it is time enough to do it.

Then, the first flight you could take should be the one operated by Turkish Airlines departure at 6:25 PM. But this flight includes two layovers in Istanbul and Frankfurt and the whole flight time should be 27 hours and 15 minutes.

Instead of this, I recommend you take the one operated by KLM, which departs later at 8:20 PM. This flight includes only one layover, and it is faster than the previous one: 24 hours and 25 minutes. Then, you will be landing at San Francisco International Airport at 11:45 AM (+1 day) local time.

9.       Arriving in the city and getting to Fisherman’s Wharf

Once the flight has landed and you have disembarked, it would take thirty minutes to pass Customs and get to the outer platform where you should take a cab.

Ask the driver to go to Fisherman’s Wharf by US-101 N and The Embarcadero S to Powell St.

When taking the Embarcadero S. Tell the driver to drop you off at Pier 39. This trip would take between 20 and 35 minutes. So, at about 12:45 PM you should be there.

10. Getting to the Crab House

Now it’s time to walk 5 minutes to the Crab House and have a fantastic Killer Crab lunch. I made a reservation for you at a table facing the sea.
